Building resilience in Africa to climate change-related loss and damage: challenges, innovations and opportunities| February 24 to 26, 2025

Senghor University in Alexandria (Egypt), Resallience and the French Association for the Prevention of Natural and Technological Disasters (France) are organizing an international conference and call for papers on climate change resilience in Africa (CIFRRiCA 2025) from February 24 to 26, 2025. This conference is intended to be a leading forum for discussion on the progress of research into the resilience and adaptation of communities, infrastructures and territories to climate change in Africa.

The aim is to bring together different stakeholders, professionals, policymakers, researchers and academics from around the world to collaborate, learn and connect science, communities and policy to support effective resilience building.

Beyond assessing climate vulnerability and risk, this conference also aims to address the challenges of accelerating and scaling up innovative adaptation solutions, climate financing and the emerging role of open science, while highlighting societal and political considerations.

The theme of this first edition is « Building resilience in Africa to climate change-related loss and damage: challenges, innovations and opportunities« .

It will be held from February 24 to 26, 2025 at the Bibliotheca Alexandrina and Senghor University in Alexandria, Egypt.

Fees for subsequent registrations

Fees for subsequent registrations (after November 30) to the Colloquium are as follows :

Non-Egyptian delegates
350 EUROS

Egyptian delegates
3500 EGP

Visits & Discoveries

In conjunction with the conference, the organizers will be offering delegates a series of visits to Egyptian strongholds in Alexandria, Cairo and/or Sharm El Sheikh. These visits will be subject to a fee, depending on the location and duration of the visit.

C’est une thématique intéressante qui sera bien débattue par différents experts avec des idées riches et diversifiées et que des grandes recommandations seront formules
